Stefan GirardetStefan Girardet has written music for several high profile film and TV projects, including "The Confessional" (1996 -prod. David Puttnam), which won four Genie awards, "The Animal Room" (1997), and the Lions Gate Production "Spanish Fly". More recent work includes "Commute" (2002), "Mina And The Family Treasure" (2003 -exec prod. Rosie O'Donnell), "American Reunion" (2004), and the preview for "We Don't Live Here Anymore" Warner Bros). TV work includes the BBC prime time series "Keeping Mum,” the ITV drama “Johnny and The Dead,” as well as "The Fictional World of Bret Easton Ellis," and "The Fundamental Gilbert and George" which won the British Academy award in 1997 for best feature documentary. The film was praised in the Academy's citation for its "Unique blend of image and music". Records include soundtrack albums for "The Confessional" (MCA), "Johnny and The Dead" (BMG), and the "We love you" album (Candy Records), for which Stefan teamed with the artists Gilbert and George on a joint work, "Bloodlines," described by Time Out magazine as "The sexiest slice of art ever" and "A work of existential greatness" by Tate magazine. In addition to his soundtrack work, Stefan occasionally collaborates with other recording artists, including MANSUN, for whom Stefan arranged and conducted two orchestral songs for their number one album "The Attack of the Grey Lantern" (Capitol), and SUPERIOR, for whom Stefan arranged and conducted "Polaroid Millennium" for the film and album "The Saint" (Virgin).
